The eyeball rolled and convulsed violently as grey fluid pumped into the arm of its trembling owner. The boy lay strapped tight to the surgical bed, with no protection from the cold metal pressed against his bare back. Not that he noticed of course, his senses were too busy being bombarded by all the chemicals that were fed into his body. An array of tubes latched themselves firmly into his flesh, each harboring a new substance awaiting passage to his blood stream. Each felt as though they were pouring floods of hot venom from deep rooted fangs. His heart feverishly raced the drugs throughout his system while his eyes continued to gyrate sporadically. As more drugs were added his body began to writhe and pitch on the bed, putting its thick metal straps to the test. A few more moments of this agony could kill the child, but it seemed to never end. With every moment that passed his heart and eyes twitched faster until they were in perfect unison. At last the flow sputtered to a halt and the whir of the machines that fueled the tubes stopped. His heart, however, did not. His mouth opened in a silent scream as his eyes vibrated painfully in their sockets, sending shots of hot agony through his brain. He could feel it well, even through the haze of sedatives. The world went dark and all the boy could do was continue screaming soundlessly and struggle on the table. In one last convulsion, his irises shattered. Black liquid bled from the once colorful orbs and stained his eyes, leaving only a small amount of their whites. With this his heart stopped and his eyes clamped shut in neither sleep nor death. A cold robotic voice pierced the sterile air mocking the child's ordeal.
"Sequence Complete: Successful Transfer. Subject's Chance of Survival: Seventy Percent."
